❄️ Snow-Go Assist Program: Extra Help for Winter
Ottawa winters can be tough — especially for our seniors and adults with disabilities. The Snow-Go Assist Program is here to help.
What is it?
Snow-Go Assist is a City of Ottawa subsidy program, run locally through the Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre. It helps low-income seniors (60+) and adults with physical disabilities manage the cost of snow and ice removal so they can stay safe at home through the winter.
What it Covers
Reimbursement for up to 50% of snow removal costs
Seasonal maximums vary depending on whether you live in an urban or rural area
Applies to private driveways and walkways
Who Qualifies?
You may be eligible if you:
Are 60+ or an adult with a disability
Have no one in the home able to do snow removal
Provide proof of income (GIS, ODSP, CPP Disability, Ontario Works, or other listed supports)
Applicants must also submit a snow removal contract or proof of payment from a licensed snow removal contractor.
